Carey pair win 2nd Wyandot Bowl Down Cancer titles

Cleve Ward and Lillian Evans of Carey win first in their divisions at the 2nd annual Wyandot County Bowl Down Cancer tournament. Ward bowls 733 and Evans 702. Gates raise $837 for the cancer fund as 837 bowlers participate. Mrs. Grove presents trophies to winners from Upper Sandusky and Carey.

Uninvited pheasant causes feathers to fly in Ohio drive

Mr and Mrs W L Stombaugh and their son in law and daughter Owen Burks traveling south on US 25 near Bowling Green were joined by a pheasant that flew into their auto striking Mr Stombaugh near the ear and Mrs Burks on the cheekbone. The bird died moments after landing in the back seat. No injuries beyond minor feathers and glasses displacement.

Wyandot County youths admit break ins and probation

Two of seven Wyandot county youths admitted breaking and entering in a March 17 High School burglary and were placed on one year probation after juvenile court hearings in Upper Sandusky. Remaining offenders face related charges and jail holds as investigations continue.
