The board of education and Boy and Girl Activity committee announce Cloyce Wentling will supervise the summer playground for community youth. Cafeteria service ends Friday May 3. Eighth grade tests were taken by 86 pupils. results pending. About 45 first graders received diphtheria immunization. Girl Reserve club held a formal dance with large attendance and chaperons. Florida coast shells inspire additions to our collection. Thursday morning we visited the second grade for a dress rehearsal of their circus program. Goldie Coakley has rejoined after illness. Barbara Ulrich is ill at home with tonsillitis. Several visitors came to our room including Robert Caldwell, Rose Marie Davis, Ruth Straub, Edward Platt, Mrs J F Dible and daughter Ann. Six weeks honor roll includes Billie Bishop, Jane Ann Driver, Mort Dyer, Bessie Dyer, Joyce Jenkins, Persis Newhard, Marcella Phillips, Donald Risner, Elizabeth Romi. We have discussed birds and made bird books.

A daughter was born last Thursday evening to Mr and Mrs Reid Morehart near MacCutchenville. A 7½ pound son arrived early Thursday to Mr and Mrs Paul Niederkoh r on S Vance Street. A 7 pound daughter named Jane Ellen was born April 15 to Mr and Mrs Michael Vaughn of EB North Street. A 70 pound son named David Elsworth arrived Monday to Mr and Mrs Carl Krout on E Findlay Street. Dr and Mrs Herman Karrer of Plain City welcomed a 6 pound 10 ounce son named George Henty at Grant Hospital in Columbus Saturday morning. Mrs Karrer is formerly Margaret Pahl of Carey. An 11½ pound son named James Frank was born April 9 to Mr and Mrs Frank Schmuckal of Kingsley Michigan. the mother is Helen Logsdon of Carey.
