Orville Kemerley Dies in Penitentiary Fire
Harve Kemerley and two undertakers traveled from south of town to Columbus to bring home Orville Kemerley body from the penitentiary fire. They could not return with the body as only 60 had been released. He would have turned 33 next June and was the son of Charles Kennerley of south of town. He was sentenced last fall for burglary in Hancock County Court.

Mrs McGown Injured In Vehicle Crash Near Findlay
Mrs Frank McGown was cut about the face and hands when she was thrown through the windshield of a machine driven by her husband after crossing the Three Mile bridge near Findlay. The couple were en route to Lima to visit a sick relative and Mrs McGown was taken to the McGown home in Findlay. She was reported recovering nicely.

Clean-Up Week Declared for Carey Residents

Two Kentucky Boys Sentenced in Forgery Case
Sally Clemens and Taster Walsop, Kentucky youths who lived on the onion marsh east of Findlay, were sentenced to indeterminate terms in the Mansfield state reformatory by Common Pleas Judge William F. Dunn of Findlay after pleading guilty to check forgery. Jack Patrick was indicted with them and was acquitted in a jury trial.

Lenner A D longtime farmer and community leader dies at 69
Alvin Daniel Lenner died at 12 45 pm at his home 3 miles north of Carey after a year of poor health and a week bedfast. Funeral services were held at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul R Clouser officiating. He was born July 17 1860 on a farm near Adrian and married Elizabeth M Herbert in 1891. Survived by wife Elizabeth two sons and three daughters ten grandchildren and numerous relatives. He served as treasurer of Carey Farmers Cooperative Co a 10 year member of Seneca County Farm Bureau and Carey Farmers Community Club. He operated a successful threshing business for 50 years on the same farm of 39 years residence. He is mourned by a large local circle of relatives and friends.
