Regular council meeting approves numerous street labor bills
The council met in regular session last Monday night with present officials and nine councilmen. Bills approved include Robert Drake for 10 and 40 hours labor on water taps and street work, Ed Simonis for 5 hours wiring transformers outside, Central Electric Co. for 514 lbs W. P. E. wire, R F Phillips and Ben Donaldson for outside wiring, Joe Hook and Jacob Grano for street labor, plus Frank Bare David Hall and others. McGuire noted street conditions from fall excavations and directed bond review with Kerlin Brothers. street committee to confer with Kerlin Bros. agent J A Gibbs and report at next meeting. Robert Drake reappointed street commissioner for the year. Mayor appointed W H Lytle deputy marshal to Dec 1 at one dollar per week, oath taken. Clerk directed to purchase a new order book.

Burson House Burglary Reported by Local Family
Last Saturday afternoon E M Burson and wife visited Carey. While away burglars entered their home and looted it extensively. They returned about six pm to find valuables missing including a new suit, pennies, and clothing items worth around twenty five dollars. Doors were locked and windows closed, suggesting intruders had keys.

Easter Entertainment at Adrian Sunday School
The M. E. Sunday school in Adrian hosted an Easter evening program followed by a social and fair in the I O O F hall.
