Donald Wedge Plans Safe Summer School Swim Program

Donald Wedge spent last week at the school preparing boys and girls for a successful season at the new park. He aims for a well supervised program focusing on swimming safety and demonstrated two films, Oars and Paddles and Swimming Safety, to students. He seeks efficient guards and helpers to support the summer program and is hopeful for cooperative effort to carry it through.

Thirty four Vanlue high school pupils will join Hancock county music festival at 8 p m Friday in the McComb school. Directors are college professors. County band boys and girls glee clubs and mixed chorus perform. Admission 50 and 25 cents. Readings note Vanlue pupils earned Superior Excellent Good ratings at Bowling Green April 1. The Vanlue music department plans a spring concert April 28 featuring band orchestra and girls glee club.

Ten year old DeAmicis girl discharged after rheumatic fever

Linda DeAmicis, ten, daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul DeAmicis of Worello Street, was discharged from Mercy hospital in Timfin after a ten day stay for a recurring rheumatic fever she will be confined to bed for some time.

Preschool exams set for Carey district June 1 and 2
