Easter services at Christ Lutheran church curtailed

Easter at Christ Lutheran church was partially carried out due to the pastor’s illness. Sunday school proceeded with two congregation members Eméry and Virgil Yohe stepping in to lead morning services, and Miss Mildred Ranger and Miss Margaret Sutphen sang a duet while the Sunday school offering exceeded $100.00.

Victory of Suffering Sermon at Christchurch Lutheran

The regular morning service is set for next Sunday at Christchurch with the pastor returning to the pulpit. The sermon theme is The Victory of Suffering. There will be no evening service. Evangelistic Services Close at Methodist Church in Crowded Revival

The Methodist church concluded a two week revival with full houses at morning and evening services. Forty two souls were saved at the altar. N B Vandall of Akron led the music with Opal Schlagel at the piano. Easter flowers adorned the church and 303 attended Sunday school. Several families joined the church and adults and children were baptized. A sermon series on core Christian questions begins next Sunday. Visitors from Toledo joined Rev Cole and others for related engagements.

Death in Steubenville Claims Mrs Corinne Mick at 39

Mrs Corinne Mick wife of F J Mick died after a nervous breakdown and heart weakness at her Steubenville home on March 31. Her remains were moved to St Paris for burial with funeral services held Sunday at 2 p m. She was 39 years old and survived by her husband three children a father and one brother. Her husband is a son of John Mick and brother of Mrs I T Rowland of Kirby.
