Lengthy sketch notes Rev John Smith born June 13 1811 in Hampshire County Virginia who preached 60 years in the Methodist Episcopal Church. A Madera Woodmen camp fire at Kenton Friday March 2 drew large district crowds. Carey camp No 1158 sent delegates aboard the 6 32 p m train returning at 3 15 a m. Speakers included state deputy and other Woodmen leaders. A query box addressed camp troubles with Carey praised as workers. The evening ended with a banquet and cards.

Last Thursday night Editor J. Schuler of the Forest Review handled a Smith & Wesson forty four caliber revolver. After cleaning and loading it a discharge occurred striking him in the left breast and causing fatal injuries. The wound proved fatal.

Obituary Tribute to Mrs Eliza Augustine of Adrian
Mrs Eliza Augustine born June 27 1822 near Lower Sandusky now Fremont daughter of Daniel and Jerusha Mills oldest of six children left fatherless at fourteen and married Jesse Augustine April 22 1847 in Adrian after fifty years together. She died March 25 1909 in Norwalk at her daughter's home Mabery and is survived by two daughters Julia and Mabery and a son William. Funeral held at Adrian M E church conducted by Rev S Baumgardner with burial in William Brayton Cemetery.
