Mexican regular troops were rushed to Vera Cruz and Hidalgo to end uprisings suspected by General Castillo Peres. In Vera Cruz the forces march on the state, while in Hidalgo they disarm and muster out the state militia for failing to cooperate with regulars.
A Grand theater wall collapse in Barnesboro Pennsylvania after rain soaked foundations killed seven people and injured eleven others. A Harrisburg blaze caused by defective wiring at the Harrisburg Motor Car Co. destroyed the garage two automobiles and three barns and left three residences with heavy damage. The fire spread to four dwellings as fire departments from Alliance Louisville and Canton aided. Only walls remained of the Price home and the Butch coupe burned. Frank Price suffered burns and was treated in Louisville. Local residents evacuated as fire moved through the center of town.
