County commissioners delay further action on saving the east Narrows sewer main until the chamber of commerce secures an expert engineer. The chamber plans to hire a top state professional who will assess practicability and report back before the board acts.
Indianapolis June 2 Detective Wien head of the Wien detective agency said charges against Dr W A Winters and Mrs Winters were foolish and that Abel aimed to force a confession by jail terms. He noted Abel may return from Columbus if needed and that letters implicate Winters and Cooper.
An expert engineer from Pittsburgh says the Alliance sewage disposal plant, built for 135000, is sound for filtration but fails to dispose, prompting Canton court suits totaling 35000 for repairs and reconstruction. The engineer declined to estimate the full cost to restore first class condition.
Memorial services were held Sunday night at Koontz Memorial church in Osnaburg. The rites were conducted by Rev. FE. K. Allen with assistance from Rev. S. O. Dunn. A musical program followed with selections performed by the Osnaburg band.
