Two Future Farmer boys attended the Temple Fair field trip to watch judging. Johnnie Gelner won a blue ribbon with his Holstein heifer and earned third place for his pen of three barrows. He also took third in the Gilt division and fourth in the Gilt. Robert Matyastik showed his Angus steer.

Local Operator Wins Blue Ribbon Award for Meritorious Service

Nine year old Henrietta Richter of Route 1 Cameron won the grand championship in the Duroc show with her pen of three and the champions banner with a Duroc barrow in the Junior Swine division at the Cen Tex Fair in Temple. Clayton Coker of Moody, 16, won the grand champion barrow and champion flag in the open breed division. both awards went to Berkshires.
