Cameron City Council approved a 1954-55 budget totaling 67 720.00 with estimated 68 120.82 in taxes. Mrs. Ladonia Well McClellan of Fort Meade Florida was honored in a service at Sharp Presbyterian Church. Reverend John Solomon officiated as family and community members recalled her years in Sharp before the fatal automobile crash Saturday night. Survivors include her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Voyles of Sharp and her husband Arthur Neil McClellan of Fort Meade.

Mrs McClaren Taken To Providence Hosp
Mrs McClaren is reported resting well at Providence Hospital in Waco Texas. She entered the hospital on Wednesday and will remain there several days longer according to her husband Max McClaren. He has resumed studies at Baylor University and will stay at the hospital during the afternoons and nights.

Milam County Farm Bureau launches a Fall Membership Drive October 4 at 7 pm with a Kick-Off Supper at the Milam Coffee Shop in Cameron. Yoemen Fall To Badgers In Third Quarter
Lampases Badgers over Cameron Yoemen 33 to 25 in a non conference clash. Cameron led 13 12 at halftime and 25 25 late in the third but gave up the ball game in the period. Cameron piled up 201 rushing yards in the first half while Lampases totaled 100. the Badgers added 68 passing yards.

Dr John B Bryson and the Milam County Health Unit report three new polio cases for the week ending Sept 18. A Cameron two year old girl with non paralytic polio is recovering in a Waco hospital. One paralytic case, a migrant Mexican child from Branchville, died. Another paralytic child from Gause is at Crippled Children's Hospital in Waco. Six polio cases in Milam County for 1954.

Emergency Feed Program Hikes Rates at Local Office
As of noon Tuesday September 21 the local Farmers Home Administration reports twelve applications for Emergency Feed Program aid with daily new requests. The grain assistance rate rises from sixty cents to one dollar per hundred pounds effective immediately and purchase orders at the old rate can be replaced. Roy M Wright county supervisor says the county committee will meet Friday afternoon to act on pending applications.

Funeral services were held at Keever Funeral Home Chapel in Ennis with Rev. L. D. Anderson officiating.
