Flying Cadet Dan Caldwell, training for the army air corps, is due home soon to stay with his parents at North Camp Hood where his father serves with the Post Engineers. His brother Lieut W Tf Caldwell Jr. went to England earlier this year and was reported missing in action after an August 22 bombing raid over occupied France.

Otto Jistel Buried in Cameron Monday
Funeral services for Otto Jistel aged 53 were held in Cameron Monday. He died Saturday September 25 1943 at his Port Lavaca area farm likely of a heart attack. Interment followed at the Catholic Cemetery with pallbearers chosen from his nephews. He had lived in Milam County before moving to Port Lavaca about 15 years ago. Surviving are three brothers and four sisters. Marek Burns Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Funeral services for Chas E Angell 80 longtime Milam county resident were held Wednesday at Walkers Creek Baptist Church. He died Tuesday at his Cameron home after a long illness born October 17 1863 in Athens Ohio and came to Milam as a boy survived by several Angell relatives in Cameron and Albuquerque New Mexico. Burial followed at Walkers Creek Cemetery with Green Funeral Home handling arrangements.
