Mass turnout for Milam County labor survey interviews

More than 1 600 women from Milam and nearby counties registered Saturday for a Cameron Industrial Foundation labor survey. About 1 490 were interviewed by six interviewers from 9 a m to 4 30 p m with long lines and two hour waits.

Milam County March of Dimes chapter holds its annual meeting at 8 p.m. Monday in the Chamber of Commerce office. Trail Riders To Join Parade And Fair At Waco

Riders will leave Rockdale Saturday morning and Cameron Trail Riders will join them in Waco. They will camp for the night at Burlington where a dance is planned Saturday night at Burlington Hall with Leon Rausch and the Texas Playboys.

Judd G. Davis Dies at 83 Former Cameron Merchant

Judd G. Davis, 83, retired farmer rancher and Cameron hardware store owner, died Saturday in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Solomon officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors: wife of Cameron son John H. Davis daughter Mrs Gladis McCollum of La Porte two grandchildren and one great grandchild. City approves 1967 68 budget with 1.65 tax rate and $256,586 fund

Cameron City Council adopts the 1967 68 general fund budget of $256,586.14 effective October 1, a 20 percent rise from last year, excluding water, sewer, and pool budgets. Budgeted items include street paving, airpark, recreation, city hall, and equipment.

Cameron Urban Renewal Plan Receives Re Certification

Fort Worth officials said the Cameron urban renewal plan including a 57 000 planning fund for downtown improvements should clear in Washington within 69 days. The project covers an area around the courthouse with remodeling and street reworking to remove high curbs.
