Newton Board Names Hospital and Clinic Manager
FL Gregory of the Newton Memorial Hospital board announced Harold Warren Associates will manage Newton Memorial Hospital and the Newton Clinic. Warren, with prior hospital admin roles in Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, and Kentucky, will oversee a 40 bed expansion and a new clinic building project.

Library Hosts Antique Display in Cameron
The Cameron Public Library presents an antiques display from private collectors and local dealers on Tuesday October 10 from 10 am to 5 pm. Sponsored by Friends of the Library the event replaces the monthly program with public access and refreshments by Civic Garden Club. Most items are smalls such as china silver and glassware and dealer pieces will be for sale. Mrs Milton J Faulkner chairs the show noting the exhibit links to social history and the year’s study topic Cultural Enrichment Through Our Library.

Cameron History Club Opens 1967 68 With 17 Members
The Cameron History Club held its first meeting of the 1967 68 year at Mrs. S A Cottle home on Tuesday September 28 with 17 members present. Mrs John Eccoming was elected president and Mrs W C Wallace presided over the business session. Miss Mildred Thornton presented the year book. The theme for the year is Man and His Changing World. Yellow marigolds decorated the home and refreshments followed.

St Monica Ladies Report On Parish Dedication Drives
St Monica Ladies and Christian Mothers met at Simon George Hall at 8 pm to hear reports on the St. Monica Parish open house the dedication at St. Anthony School and related church affairs. They discussed sewing communion dresses for the Holy Fathers storeroom in Rome and chairing the Blood Bank and United Fund drives. The group will host the 4H award banquet November 11 at Simon George Hall and a Blood Bank film was shown.
