A banking career began in 1924 in Cameron, with further roles including assistant national bank examiner at Wichita Falls and cashier at Liberty State Bank before joining National City Bank in Dallas in 1939. Lexington Man Killed In Cattle Truck Collision
B Hester of Lexington in Lee County was killed instantly when his car crashed into a cattle truck at a rail intersection near Lexington around 8 30 p m Sunday. Mrs Hester and Frank Parker were taken to St Edwards hospital in Cameron with internal injuries and a broken arm respectively. The cattle truck driver Smoot Smith was uninjured. All occupants were local Lexington residents.

Nighttime Robbery Attempt Ends in Gun Battle at Lester Grain
