Haunted Warehouse of Horrors Fundraiser Returns This Weekend
The Milam County Crimestoppers host the Warehouse of Horrors at 1st Street from 7 p m to midnight this Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost 6 for adults and 4 for children, with proceeds benefiting the local crime stoppers group. For help or information call 697-8477 or email milamecs@gmail.com.

Water issues persist as roads reopen in Milam County
Colwell said patrols continued against high water since Monday morning and current efforts remain in progress. By Wednesday morning Milam County roadways had reopened. In Cameron, 2.0 inches of rain fell Monday raising October rainfall to 9.3 inches per Severn Trent manager Ramon Johnson. Cameron’s prior month total was 9.15 inches, nearly triple the 3.15 inch average.

Milam County Felony Judgments Include Multi Year Terms
District court cases yield a range of sentences. SAMMIE LEE FORD JR is sentenced to forty years in prison after jurors found him guilty of two first degree felonies involving possession of a controlled substance and aggravated robbery. HILTON KNIGHT receives two years for a third degree felony with additional terms for tampering with evidence and probation violations.
