McCullin Heads Ex-Bandsmen Group At Yee High

An ex-band students association formed after a Friday night reception at the new J Francis Cox Hall at Yee High School. A W McCullin Jr was elected president with Morris Eplen as vice president and Miss Susan Kosson as secretary treasurer. The group has about 600 ex-band students listed.

Hunt Tries Wilcox Test as Milam Drilling Stalls

Milam County drilling stayed at a standstill with no new wildcats or completions this week. In nearby Lee County the Hunt Oi Company No. 1 F. A. Warner, seven miles southwest of Lexington, drills a Wilcox test to 4600 feet on a 228 acre lease, marking Hunt’s third Wilcox attempt in the area.
