Coldiron Well Potential Is 10 Barrels In Milbur Field
Luling Oil & Gas Company filed potential figures for its No 2 A Coldiron well in the Milbur Field south Milam County. The well produced 46 barrels of 21.7 gravity oil per day from 2676 feet, tapping the Wilcox. The company also has No 1 Coldiron at 80 bpd and No 1 Joe Martin at 56 bpd, opening the North Milbur Field.

Castello Resigns as City Police Chief
City Police Chief Don Castello submitted his resignation Tuesday toing to accept a security officer post at Stephen F. Austin College in Nacogdoches. In a letter to Mayor Bassel Wilson Castello asked for immediate effect. Wilson praised Castello and said the force remains at full strength with three patrolmen a night watchman and three dispatchers. Castello had been appointed June 1.
