Burlington to vote on 16500 bond for road improvements

The Burlington Commissioners Court called a bond election for Saturday November 16 to authorize 16500 for district road improvements. A federal grant of 33000 has been approved in Washington for the project, bringing total cost to about 50000. The effort aims to improve travel in wet weather and boost local trade.

Thieves Mar Good Hospitality At Cameron Stadium

Cameron's hospitality was marred Friday night when thieves stripped several automobiles belonging to Taylor fans. Officers report the incident as the second occurrence of the year and plans are under way to protect cars parked outside the stadium at future games. A separate loss included $10.50 stolen from Franklin football men in the locker room on September 27. three casings and some gasoline were also taken Friday night.
