Speedy Setting Follows Change Venue Here

Baby Hill, once convicted for the murder of Cameron night watchman and fire marshal George Richards, will again face a murder trial in Travis County District Court Austin on Monday November 2. Hill was previously tried in Milam County October 15 1935 and sentenced to 99 years imprisonment. The Court of Criminal Appeals granted a new trial due to jury misconduct. A 200 man venire was ordered and witnesses are to appear before the 98th District Court on November 2 with fines or jail for nonattendance.

Revival Meeting Planned at First Baptist Church

The revival will start Sunday October 25 at the First Baptist Church and run through November 8. Dr. C. W. Culp of Shreveport Louisiana will preach with services at 10 a.m. and 7 30 p.m. Rev Vernon G Miles, the pastor, is preparing for the event.

Tracy dies in Houston hotel at 82

Funeral services for Green B. Tracy 82 were held at the First Methodist church in Cameron with interment at Oak Hill cemetery. Died suddenly of a heart attack in the Modern Hotel in Houston. Survived by three sons and a daughter. Active and honorary pallbearers named.

One Dead Five Injured In Night Road Accident

A Friday night collision south of Rockdale left Anton L. Lawhorn dead. Charles T. Newton of Rockdale crashed into the Lawhorn car, a lighted Model T without headlights. Steamboat Celebration Date Moved to November 8 1946

The Steamboat Shaft dedication moved due to San Gabriel Mission Markers. The new program begins at 2 PM Sunday November 8 1946 at Lamkin Park two miles southeast of Cameron near the Little River highway bridge. Parnell Dies in Cameron After Illness

J B Parnell 78 died at 10 p m Tuesday October 21 in a Cameron hospital where he was taken Monday. Funeral services were held at 10 30 Wednesday at First Methodist with Rev J Coy Williams delivering the sermon. Burial followed at the old home in Glen Rose. Burial occurred at 4 p m. in Glen Rose. Parnell had lived with his son in Cameron for months and had been attending the National Livestock Judging Show with the Texas team from his pupils.

Blancett Sentenced On Plea For Theft And Burglaries

Dillard Blancett pled guilty to a felony theft and two burglaries before Judge Graham Gillis. He received one year for the theft and two years on each burglary, with a three year suspended sentence active at arrest. Claude Wade and S P Parker also pled guilty to felony theft and drew two year suspended terms.
