Ensure electrical systems and heating equipment are maintained to prevent fires at home.
The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department won first place in a racing event at the Central Texas Fire Convention in Killeen on Sunday October 7. Eight members competed, led by Jerry Mikula, with a 21.7 second time earning a $50 prize. Round Rock and Granger finished second and third. A chicken barbecue followed. next convention is in Brenham in May 1952.
Miss Pauline Sakewitz daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sakewitz of Buckholts married Gene Friemel at Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts on Sunday October 7. Rev. John Striepe officiated. reception followed at the bride’s home. they plan a honeymoon in New Orleans and southern points and will reside in Cameron.

Mrs. A. Z. Fuller hosted a wedding rehearsal supper at City Park on Saturday night for the Fuller Gilbert wedding party. Attendees included Maid of Honor Patsy Gill, Bridesmaid Ruthell Johnson, Bestman Ivey T Gilbert and John Lee Persky, Ushers Brooks Johnson Glenn Raney Jackie Raney, and Flower Girl Darlin Ive y J.

Costume jewelry and gold cuff links were presented, and a flower girl and ring barrier received gifts. Mrs. Fuller provided tuna sandwiches and cookies as attendees urged church attendance.
