Milam Chickens Win Top Prizes At State Fair
Milam County Ideal Hatchery and Poultry Farm entries dominated the Texas State Fair in Dallas winning eight top prizes. Leo Fuchs of Cameron reported first, seventh, eighth and tenth in breeding chicken division, plus a grand champion breeding pen trophy and reserve champion breeder hatchery display banner. In the single division, entries took second and third in cockerels and fourth and seventh in pullets.

Commodore Anderson died in Richmond Hospital Sunday morning from injuries in a Saturday accident. Funeral services were held Monday at Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Melthin Sibley officiating. Interment in Little River Cemetery. He was born October 2, 1892 in Milam County and raised in Little River. survived by four sisters and one brother.
