Purina Farm Visit Draws 300 Local Farmers to Missouri
Mr and Mrs Charlie W Lucke led about 300 farmers touring Purina Research Farm at Gray Summit Missouri last Monday. The group then spent the following day touring the companys research laboratories and general office in St Louis.

4-H Club Notes Swine Winners At Heart O Texas Fair
Ass't County Agent Henrietta Miichter of Cameron led Duree Barrow entries taking Reserve Champion pen and top finishes in the 221 to 270 lb class at the Heart O Texas Fair in Waco on September 29. Richter of Cameron placed second, seventieth and eighth in the same class and earned prize money. Jeanette Richter of Chimeron also placed in the top ten and in the pen of three, with total prize money around 40 to 47 dollars. All are Milam county 4-H members with long swine project involvement.

James Thomas Rogers, airmar USN, son of Mr and Mrs Harry Rogers of Cameron Texas, reported for duty September 11 1956 at the Naval Auxiliary Air Station Chase Field Beeville Texas. He entered the naval service December 7 1955 and came to Chase Field from the Naval Air Technical Training Center Olathe Kansas after attending Yor High School. Chase Field is the Navy's only all jet Naval Air Training Center for student carrier pilots where cadets learn the TV-2 jet trainer and the F9F.
