The First Methodist Church announces its Homecoming on November 21 with Dr. Robert Goodrich of Dallas delivering the 11 am sermon and a day of music by the Choraliers Choralettes and Children's Chorus. Mrs. Mary Knight Rites Held in Cameron Area

Funeral services for Mary Etta Knight of Lawake Texas were held Saturday November 13 1954. Born October 3 1866 in Marshall County Alabama she moved to Milam County in 1894 as a pioneer. She was widow of Gus T Knight and survived by four daughters four sons two sisters one brother twenty six grandchildren forty one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Methodist Church Robbed Sunday Of Offerings

Sunday offerings from the First Methodist Church were stolen including the Sunday School collection and Morning worship money. Mrs. Dorothy Johnson reported $48 missing from her parish funds as church staff prepared deposits. Sheriff Black said the safe was undisturbed, suggesting access by someone with the combination. Deputies investigated.

Eugene M. Boyd Dies At 94 In Cameron Community

Eugene M. Boyd, aged 94, died at midnight Tuesday at his daughter’s home near Cameron. Born February 18, 1860 in Memphis, he lived in Milam County for 75 years. Survived by son L. C. Boyd, daughter Mrs. W. E. Chamberlain, sister Mrs. Carrie Ferguson, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Green's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A. F. Sister M Albius of St Edward Hospital Dies

Sister Mary Albius of St Edward's hospital died Monday. She had served Cameron hospital since 1946 and was chief dietitian. Funeral 9 a.m. Wednesday at Villa De Matel Houston with burial there. Survived by a sister in County Limerick Ireland. Marek Burns funeral home in charge.
