Quilt 106 Years Old On Display At Fidelity Office
A quilt 106 years old is on display at the Fidelity Abstract Company's office. It is owned by Miss Don Neil of Sand Grove and was made by her great great grandmother known as Grandmother Wilkins in Alabama. She raised the cotton used and dyed some materials for the quilt.

Funeral services held for Mrs House of Milam County
The funeral for Mrs J D House 83 a native of Milam County who died Monday morning November 14 at her Salem home was conducted at Salem Methodist Church by Rev Condrey. Interment followed in Salem Cemetery. She was born October 9 1849 and married life near Salem spanned her two homes. Surviving are three daughters two sons a sister and two stepdaughters with several brothers and pallbearers named.

Depositors 10 Seek Court Action Over State Bank Funds
A Friday hearing will review the injunction blocking the Banking Commission from paying funds to the county and to compel repayments on a bank closed last December. The death of T N Lindsey occurred Saturday morning November 12 at 9 o'clock after declining health and a coma. He lived with his daughter Mrs J W Stitt in Cameron and was active in civic and church work, a longtime Methodist steward. The funeral Sunday at 2:30 p m at the First Methodist church in Cameron was conducted by Rev M A Turner with several pastors assisting, and interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery beside his wife.
