Milam County Home Demonstration Club members earned places at the 1932 Dallas State Fair. Mrs. Ray Leech of Bethlehem Club won second on a pint jar of peper elish in her first year. She prepared 674 containers for fall and winter use and cured 2650 pounds of vegetables plus 362 pounds of meats with pantry value 350.78. Mary Lee Hine, Valverde Club girl in her fourth year, won second on watermelon fine preserves, noted for her four year garden demonstration record.
