In Milam County 729 voters participated in the special constitutional election. Amendments 2 3 and 4 passed locally while 5 and 6 fell and 1 narrowly failed. Statewide totals show all six amendments approved. O. H. Harris wins state senate seat as six House vacancies face run offs.
Lions Club and Rotary Club members will gather at noon Monday for a joint Thanksgiving program at the Western Room of The Texan. A film titled The Land We Love will be shown during the meeting.
Weather notes announce Cameron's annual parade at 3 PM on December 2. Local clubs churches schools and organizations are invited to enter the float contest.
