City Must Have More Water Funds
Difficulties mount as the city progress slowly in acquiring the water company properties. Appraisers set the plant value at over 171000, wider than the citys 130000 offer, with the company seeking extra for a going concern. The city has 150000 in bonds unusable and would need a new issue if an agreement is reached, while the tax rate cannot rise. Revenue bonds would retire the debt from the plant earnings.

A. S. Dodson 638 of Ben Arnold died at home Tuesday night from a paralysis stroke. Born in Maysfield he lived in Cameron and Ben Arnold, worked at Weems gin in Cameron, and moved back to Ben Arnold last year. Survived by wife A. S. Dodson and three sons Neal Nolan and Eddy Dodson. sisters S. S. Patton and Mrs. Henry Reaves. brother J. W. Dodson. Funeral Thursday at Ben Arnold Methodist, interment Elm Grove Cemetery. Subsidy Checks Totals Hit $112000 In County Drive
About twenty percent of 1987 subsidy checks have been received at the county agent's office totaling $80,738.34. A total of 929 checks have been received, most small. Seven hundred applications have been submitted and approved. By Wednesday morning $13,000 brought the total to $112,000 with roughly 1300 applications paid and more expected before December 1.

Mrs Lonzo Coward Buried at Maysfield
Mrs Lonzo Coward formerly of Milam county died at her Waco home at 2 a m on Wednesday November 9 after two years of declining health. Funeral services were held at her Waco home at 2 39 this afternoon. Interment followed in Pebble Grove cemetery at Maysfield. Surviving are her children and grandchildren. Her husband died two years ago.
