John Henry Thomas, 49, died suddenly at home in Gause. A Cameron native, he was a prominent grocer, business owner, and former Gause Bank figure, trustee of the public school, and active in community affairs. Survived by wife, three daughters, two sisters, cousins, and a Cameron nephew. funeral conducted at the family residence by Rev. Vernon G. Miles with Coleman Funeral Home in charge.

Cooking School Attendance Ends With 239 Women In Cameron

Future Farmers Conclude Show at Cameron Poultry Event
The Central Texas FFA Poultry Show at Cameron drew many entries and strong judging. McGregor won the poultry judging with 1455 points, San Gabriel was runner up with 1410, Thrall 1380, Milano 1275, with Sharp Taylor and Thorndale also competing. Individual high scores were tightly contested with McGregor and Thrall tied on 505 points and Roland Techelman of Taylor at 490.

Stedman Hurt In Crash On Liberty Bridge
