Milam County Tuberculosis Association launched the Christmas Seal campaign with 25 members meeting at Singer's Grill in Rockdale to prepare about 9 000 letters and seals for mailing. LaVert McKinney chairs the 1981 drive with Dr. Alonzo Urban as co chair. Milano typing students aided by Mrs Theda McGee praised for their hours. Eighty two cents of every dollar stays in Milam County to fund medicine case finding clothing and public education.

Two lawsuits totaling $101,973.05 were filed in district court last week. Robert Larry Scott and Ruth Ann Wafford Scott seek $40,000 from Commercial Standard Fire & Marine Co over Milam Theatre fire losses of July 22 in Cameron.
