Two Cameron Boys Struck by Auto on Halloween Night
Two Cameron youngsters Tom Halpain ten and James Halpain eight were hit by a car driven by Bill Matthews twenty while trick or treating Tuesday night. Both boys were listed in satisfactory condition with Tom suffering a broken collar bone and cuts while James had numerous cuts and bruises. They were treated at a Cameron hospital by police and medical staff.

Services Set For Mrs Oliver Looney
Mrs Oliver R Looney died at her home in Cameron on September 25. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Friday at Marek Burns Funeral Home with Rev Jewel Strong officiating. Burial will be in Ben Arnold Cemetery. She was born March 2 1882 in New Waverly Texas and lived in Cameron and Ben Arnold for 60 years. Survivors include her husband Oliver R Looney of Cameron a son Ned I Looney of Washington DC two daughters Frances Arrington Freeport and Helen Downs Dallas one sister Nellie Shead Dallas five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Griffiths returns to jet fighter unit active duty
Captain Guy Griffith, a U S Air Force Reserve jet pilot from the Cameron Milam area, has left for active duty this week in Syracuse New York and will join a New York jet fighter squadron. Dr David Shapiro, lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Medical Reserve, says he will not be activated as the service plans to call only lieutenants and captains in medical service. The Cameron doctor has served in the Air Force Reserve since World War II.
