About 150 attended the Yoe High Exes homecoming reception in the Vocational Building Homemaking rooms after the game. Mrs. C L Canady reported 87 exes registered. event was planned by the Senior Class and Homemaking department led by Mrs. W T Whatley Jr. Faculty and Exes enjoyed a maroon and gray centerpiece and candles as Yeemen defeated the Eagles.

New Gasoline Tax Law Takes Effect This Thursday
Frank Schofield collector in district says the Revenue Act of 1951 raises the federal gasoline tax effective November 1 1951 and imposes a floor stock tax and inventory filing for all dealers except retailers with gasoline only at the sale point. Tax returns due by December 31 1951. if forms aren’t received by December 1 dealers must requisition stock forms from the Collector of Internal Revenue in Austin. Also notes Philippine inflation rising food and clothing prices and CARE aid in Manila and at the Bad Ischl Boy Scout Jamboree where American scouts distributed CARE packages.
