Warehouse Law Effective June 1 in Texas
Austin May 17 The permanent warehouse law passed by the Legislature becomes effective June 1. Ginners request blank applications and bonds daily and will receive them by mail in the coming days. Bond rates are set at 4 per 1000 annually with a $5 minimum, totaling from 5 to 10 based on bond size. Receptacle samples and prices for cotton samples are available from stationery houses, ranging 1-2 to 1-4 cents each.

Land boom as 50 acre tract sells for 58000 in Taylor
In Taylor Texas on May 15 1915 reports say 50 acres in the Taylor Thrall field have been sub leased from the Sun Company by Wight and Bennett of Tulsa and sold to new companies for 58000. The deal follows solid production from the Diebel farm and signals rising values as the east half may soon be marketed. Other local firms have acquired acreage from the tract including Young et al and Rich Hill Neill S M Lipscomb.

Body of John Marek Found Near Buckholts
The badly decomposed body of 37 year old John Marek was found Thursday morning in driftwood along Little River about seven miles south of Buckholts by J A Butler. An inquest was held by Justice A Y Norman and the burial occurred at Blinka cemetery after a brief investigation following his three week disappearance while fishing with others. Marek leaves a widow and seven children. The report notes his death as a grim discovery and his remains were identified by F A Marek of Cameron. The bulletin mentions the missing party’s fishing trip earlier reported. Will drill for oil at Davilla. The Davilla Oil and Gas Company has stock permits and aims to drill as shares are sold.
