Beverly W. McFarland Dies in Buckholts
Beverly Wayne McFarland a Buckholts resident and Odd Fellows member died May 19 after being found in his Buckholts Bulletin office. Born in Jonah Texas in the 1860s he was unmarried and survived by friends and the McAnally family. Burial followed May 20 at McFarland burial ground with Odd Fellows conducting the service.

Mr Zack Middleton aged seventy three died after a long illness at his Milan county home and was buried at Temple Grove near Maysfield. A Mississippi native who came to Texas at twelve, he served in Hood’s brigade during the Civil War and leaves wife Miss Ella Jones and four living children Joe John Jesse Middleton and Miss Annie Middleton. He was a member of Little River Baptist Church and funeral services were led by Rev C L Spradley.

Captain J W McNutt a veteran Robertson county lawyer and pioneer died at his son's home in Franklin Texas He commanded a Confederate cavalry company in the Civil War born in Missouri about seventy seven He organized the unit in North Carolina Survived by son Joe McNutt and daughter Miriam McNutt, a teacher at San Felipe.

Commencement Festivities of 1915 Lanier Seniors
The Sidney Lanier Literary Society of the 1915 seniors held an open house at the School Auditorium Friday night. The program featured a string band opening, piano and vocal numbers, a humorous reading by Miss Ola Sheffield, class prophecies with names of participants, a farewell poem by Karl Horstman, and a four-man quartet performance. A note recalls Miss Julia Cooper’s guidance of the society, and visitor J. S. Terry from Minerva shared that his child found a turtle bearing his initials and the year 1871 nearby.
