Thomas A Chandler Claimed By Death
Thomas Archie Chandler aged 24 died instantly when a binder fell on his chest while repairing machinery at Cameron Cotton Oil Company near the oil mill. He had just returned from overseas service and is survived by his mother, father, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the family residence conducted by Rev. M. B. Hays with pallbearers listed.

Speakers included Roy Baskin Judge W G Gillis Judge John Watson and Hon T S Henderson who argued the measure aims to end the liquor traffic and make prohibition effective beyond local option.

Cameron and Milam County again earned a place on the nation’s honor roll as the Victory Loan quota of $275 600 was surpassed. Cameron’s share stood at $87 000 with the remainder by the county, aided by late appeals to banks and firms.
