Music Week Celebrated at San Gabriel High School
The San Gabriel campus marked Music Week with a Pioneer Texas theme and a Texas Centennial tie in. Performances included piano solos by Sarah Yeager and Mary Ruth Norman, vocal duets by Irene Fulcher with Ruby Alta Starnes and Lillian Garner, and a San Gabriel High School string quartet. The event featured student reflections on music, voiced by elementary classes, and conveyed sympathy for Joe Altwein. The Sophomores hosted a Senior banquet May 7 at Gants Cafe, with seniors, staff, and trustees in attendance, ending with thanks from the Senior Class.
