Funeral Services Held Wednesday for Henry Miller
Funeral services were held at 2 PM Wednesday for 79 year old Henry Miller who died Tuesday in a Bryan hospital. Miller, a retired farmer born April 11 1882 in Milam County, had lived in Bryan eight months. Burial was at Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include two sons Ernie of Cameron and John of Bryan, two daughters Ludie Miller and Marie West, four sisters, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Elvin Hoskins C W Williams Wayne Wieser Von Jenness Grady Allen R J Woodum.

Trial set for Hubert Shuffield murder case in Cameron
The jury trial for Hubert W. Shuffield Sr of Cameron on murder with malice, set for 9 a m Monday June 5, was ordered in Milam District Court by Judge W C Wallace after a not guilty plea. Kirk, 44, Cameron, was killed with a 22 caliber pistol April 14 in Shuffield’s cafe. his son Eual Shuffield, 37, Cameron, faces the same charge in Justice Court. The grand jury returned an indictment April 25, with two defense lawyers appointed for Shuffield.
