Worcester Market Moves East Offers Fresh Meats and Baked Goods

Mr. D. B. Worcester and Son moved their market one door east and will continue to serve friends with sanitary conditions. They offer fresh meats, home baked bread pies cakes and assorted cookies every day and invite the public to visit their new location.

Storm Damage Around Gause

The Gause Guide reports extensive damage from a storm inland and in town. At Hudson farm four miles from the city all buildings including tenant houses were destroyed and similar destruction occurred at the Thomas farm downstream. In the city J H Pool residence partial collapse, W B Bailey barn blown down, J W Cole barn roof lifted and spread on a vacant lot. Folmar farm multiple buildings blown down. Creek bottom lands flooded with destroyed crops and torn fences.

Jeter Lumber Company Marks 22 Years of Service

The Jeter Lumber Company celebrates its 22nd anniversary on May Day. Founded by Wm M Jeter and T W Griffith, now led by W M Jeter and Roy Griffith, the Cameron business offers a full building supply line from shingles to crested iron roofings and windows. Their trade extends from Belton to Caldwell via the Sante Fe route and on the A A P route from Rosebud, serving a wide local patronage.

Lightning strikes ruin chimney at Mondrik home

A Friday lightning strike damaged the upper portion of a chimney at Mr. Prank Mondrik’s residence, collapsing to the roof. Residents reported only a severe fright with no other damage or injuries.

Cameron Oil Company organized to operate a lease on fifty acres from the Jesse White Survey. The Thrall Security Oil Company sails with capital of 25000. Floods Hit Tracy Area Damaging Land and Local Sports
