Taylor Fair directors canceled their fair this year causing Rockdale to move up its dates to July 4. The Rockdale Fair will join with the Fourth of July celebration creating a large regional event anticipated to bring big crowds and strong attractions. Tragedy at Hollands Farm Endangers Family in Texas
A Texas family of seven, the Wychopens, were slain in their Holl and farm home after a wife and mother Rosa Wychopen and five children Elba Ottilia Amelia Melanda were found dead in beds. John Wychopen lay near death with a pistol nearby and a bloodstained razor on a dresser. Neighbors recall no warning signs. The father is dying and the crime appears a methodical mass killing followed by suicide.
