The Cameron Commercial club will hold a semi annual election of officers and directors on Monday night March 31. Arrangements were made at the club meeting. A committee will secure a speaker and another will make nominations. The secretary will mail cards urging members to attend.

The Yoemen lost 10 to 9 at Bryan against Allen Academy in a windy cold game. Keith pitched well despite the conditions. Prothro Deer stole five bases and added a single after four walks. Tickets Offered For Church Banquet In Dallas Speaker

Five hundred tickets have been set aside for sale to the Brothered Banquet at the Methodist church Friday evening March 28 at 7 30 o clock. Mike H Thomas of Dallas will be the principal speaker. The event aims to boost the community Sunday school drive with a hoped for 1800 attendance by Easter.

Cameron students excel at the Interscholastic League Meet in Rockdale with Giles L. Arriett Jr winning Junior boys first, Mary Jane Burnet Senior girls declamation first, Patsy McGregor Junior girls second, and George Tiffany Moore Senior boys third. First and second place winners advance to the District Meet in Waco April 18. Cameron also swept Junior and Senior Choral singing by default as the only entrants after rain delayed the program before rescheduling.

Painter Jack Hardy, an employee of Santa Fe, fell from a tower west of the freight depot while painting. Luther Moore Funeral Services Held in Minerva

Funeral services for Luther Moore age 33 were held Tuesday at 3 p m in the Minerva Methodist church with Revs McCown and Hardigree officiating. He died March 25 1950 at the family residence near Minerva and is survived by his mother and other relatives. Interment followed in Minerva cemetery. Green Brothers of Cameron directed the funeral.
