Coastal Bermuda Grass Performance in Little River-San Gabriel District
Reports from Adrian I. Moore describe coastal Bermuda grass as a vigorous, forage producing but still experimental pasture. It thrives on deep moist alluvial soils along streams, outperforms common Bermuda in many sites, but struggles on high hills or shallow soils. Over grazing can ruin the long spreader runners and reduce sod quality. proper protection and root development are essential. Small irrigated plots show promising results.
