Mrs Bertha Turner of Austin died at home Saturday at age 98. Born March 12 1887 in Tennessee she lived in Austin nine years. Funeral services were held Monday at Marek Burns Funeral Home with Rev Harvey H Washington and Rev James Stanley officiating. Survivors include sons Lester Turner Bert Turner Reese Turner Thos Turner Alvin Turner Jonah Turner. daughters R R Cosby and H V McClish. brother Lewis Watson. sister Mrs Mary Edwards. 21 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ted Kuehl Starret Hickman Roy Barmore Vaughn Thweatt Eddy Gaines and Howard Urbantke.

Born May 19 1883 in Czechoslovakia she lived in Marak 57 years. Rosary was recited Wednesday at Marek. Burial in Sts Cyril and Methodius cemetery Marak. Survived by three sons Joe Jr Jerry Bohumil all of Marak. two daughters Mrs Fred Lazek Jr Cameron and Miss Mary Ann Kostroun of Marak. 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons Kostroun.
