Dairy Will Hold Open House Here
Elm Creek Farm near Cameron hosts an open house at 2 p m Friday. Owned by J K Stuart of Barrow Florida the dairy operates since March 22 with about 350 registered Jerseys and grade Holsteins. Milking is automatic the first in the Southwest and milk is shipped to Houston by tank truck.

Milam County Farm Bureau Sets Deadline for Queen Contests
Milam County Farm Bureau officials set July 2 as the deadline to enter the Senior and Junior Queen Contests. Five girls entered the Senior contest and six entered the Junior contest. Entry blanks are available at the Farm Bureau office in Cameron. The Senior contest targets ages 16 to 22 and requires contestants to live with a Farm Bureau member in Milam County. The Junior contest is countywide for ages 3 to 6. participants must live in the same household. Winners: Senior contestants include Hannah Sue Morgan Katherine Ottmer Judy Marie Westbrook Janet Carol Jekel and Carole Brown. Junior contestants are Robin Kay McQuary Nanette Noack Brenda Burnett Mary Lee Graham Linda Kaye Hughes and Kerry Ann McCall. The Junior winner receives a Registered Black Angus Calf donated by Robt. and Mrs. Preston Perry of Rockdale. Both contests will be at 8 p m July 12 in the Fellowship Hall of Cameron's First Methodist Church.
