The Culpepper hardware and home furnishings store and auto supply market debuts in Cameron on Friday June 22 1945 at 10 am. The new store features birch veneer decor grand displays and over 200 feet of floor space with departmentized sections led by managers. The largest area houses shelf and heavy hardware. a 30 by 110 foot warehouse lies at the rear and farm implements are planned later.
H P Culpepper, founder of a Cameron business, earns praise from townsmen and merchants for launching a new store. A landowner and farmer, he has expanded into Milam County landed interests while planning the wide opening, set for Friday June 22 1945, though wartime limits affect merchandise volume.
The new Culpepper hardware and home finishing store will open Friday, June 22, 1945. H P Culpepper purchased the building last year, which housed USO activities, and it has been prepared for merchandise.
Miss Nettie Lou Rosenberg is placed in the Kitchenware department to help manage the new store opening on Friday June 22 1945. Mr Culpepper selected the store staff to build strong sales and showcase one of the largest department stocks for the opening. Visitors will find a nearly complete kitchenware range and items shoppers have long awaited.
A. J. Rosenberg, noted Cameron merchandiser, will manage Culpepper's new store in Cameron. The grand opening is set for Friday June 22 1945. Rosenberg brings years of experience and is praised for energy and storewise leadership.
Rufus Reichert will be at the Culpepper store assisting in all aspects of the business. He will contribute to sales in various departments and help uphold the store's stated policy of customer service for buyers in the territory. Reichert is widely known and welcomed by friends nationwide.
Cameron graduate nurse Opal Dotson has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps at Camp Swift Texas. She trains at the Army Nurses Training Center and Regional Hospital while her sister serves in the Army Nurse Corps and her brother in the Army Air Corps.
John C. Andres, a well known office executive, will serve as office manager for the Culpepper store opening Friday June 22 1945. He has long been associated with Cameron business and recently served as cashier at the Southern Pacific and at Cameron Machine Shop, building a reputation as a top office manager and bookkeeper.
Miss Agnes Macal of Cameron will manage the kitchenware and dish chinaware departments at the New Culpepper Store opening Friday June 22 1945. She has eight years of Cameron store experience and comes with strong recommendations. Store manager Mr Rosenberg announced the appointment. Miss Helen Reichert and Miss Nettie Lou Rosenberg will work in these departments under Miss Macal.
John Stanislaw, a renowned hardware man, will manage Culpepper store hardware department opening Friday June 22 1945. He arrives after years in hardware sales and prior different work, bringing two decades of experience to the largest department in the new shop.
Miss Helen Reichert has been placed in the dish and chinaware department at Culpepper store opening Friday June 22 1946. She and others have worked for weeks arranging stock and she will greet visitors and guide them through the department. The store plans one of the largest stocks in central Texas.
