Fourth Liberty Loan Planned for October
Secretary McAdoo disclosed a government plan for a fourth Liberty loan in October, proposing about 6 billion dollars in certificates of indebtedness issued in blocks of 750 million every two weeks starting June 25. Banks are urged to subscribe 5 percent of gross resources monthly, with certificates bearing 4 1/2 percent interest and maturities up to four months. An additional tax certificate issue of around 2 billion dollars is expected for use in paying taxes next year.

Death of Miss Matilda Radtke at 24
Miss Matilda Anna Radtke died at her parents' home Sunday about 5 am after a three week illness. She was 24 last May. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 am at the family home under Woodmen Circle Grove No. 996. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. B. B. Blaylock.
