The New Federal Building in Cameron is now occupied after a weekend move. Postmaster English and Assistant McGregor oversaw a busy relocation with modern labor saving devices. The project cost 55 000 dollars, with contracts starting 1916 and the building turnover complete in 1918. The office’s receipts rose from about 12 000 to over 22 000 dollars in the last year. Cameron also became a distributing center for five counties and a central accounting office for third and fourth class offices.

Young Boy Fatally Shot In Cameron Home Incident
Tuesday morning around 10:00 a.m. J G Sutton Jr five year old son of Mr and Mrs Sutton of Cameron route 1 was accidentally shot by his seven year old brother at the home of Mr and Mrs G W Allen while parents were in the field. The boy lay dead with the top of his head blown off the discharge entering the face near the mouth. The Herald extends sympathy to the family.
