Three youths escape drowning in one-car plunge
A car carrying Terry Dorner, 16, of Burlington and passengers Tanya Sampson, 16, and Charles Sampson, 14, Rosebud, slid off a wooden bridge on Old Clarkson road and plunged into Pond Creek. The vehicle landed partially submerged in 30 to 35 feet of water, narrowly avoiding full submersion. All three were treated at Rosebud hospital for injuries.

Child struck by car in Cameron. 3 1/2-year-old critical
A 3 1/2 year old visiting Cameron grandparents was hit by a car driven by John Mitchell of Route 2 Cameron in the 1800 block of North Washington at 10 20 a m Saturday. Police Chief Kent Butler said the child Christopher Lewis was listed in critical condition at Scott and White Hospital. The accident was described as unavoidable.
