Murder Charge Against Ford Hood Captain’s Son Dies

Youths Attack Supervisor At Gatesville State School
A 59 year old activities supervisor was assaulted by two students in a dormitory at Gatesville State School. The attackers took the supervisor’s keys and fled in his car. A statewide alert was issued. By Wednesday no trace of the two escapees or the vehicle had been found.

Balloon rides will be part of Belton's Family Fun Carnival with four safety lines and a designated landing area at Belton High School parking lot. A McGregor farmer found a huge balloon near the ground in a pasture while investigating a rumbling noise and saw the pilot working to regain altitude before landing. Four Persons Injured In Traffic Mishaps
Four people were hurt in two separate accidents on Wednesday and Thursday. H O Roper of Rockdale broke a leg and suffered facial cuts when his pickup hit a barricade and crashed at a utility site on Highway 79. He was treated at Rockdale and Temple VA hospitals after being trapped. At the FM 437 FM 1328 crash near Cavilla, Greer Gibson of Minerva had chest injuries, Ronald Groteau of Thorndale had a shoulder injury, and Lorene Gersbach of Buckholts was treated and released. DPS Trooper Scott Douglas investigated.
