Local Cameron notes record visits by professors, lawyers, and constables from across the region last week and Monday. Community life includes court business, school closings, jury duty, farming updates, and preparations for a Cameron celebration.
Mrs. 8. G. Boyles and her children travel to Marlin for a few days. Ed McCord returns to Sherman to start school in September. Henderson Fowler, now clerking in Austin, visited relatives in ESTRAYED OR STOLEN a dark bay mare about 18 hands high with brand 6 U R on left hip and a white spot under the left shoulder. A five dollar reward is offered. money left with Mr. Bickett in Cameron.

Last Tuesday evening the Christian church members and families enjoyed a well lit reception at Dr. and Mrs. W. T. Mowdy's home. Thomas and J. D. Hancock drew hearty laughter. The event aimed to strengthen church ties and was praised as an example for other congregations.
