Government takes all cotton contracts in Milam County
Washington July 18 farm administrators ordered acceptance of all contract offers signed by cotton growers to reduce acreage approved by county agents and committees. George Banzhai, Milam County Agent, received a telegram from the Secretary of Agriculture announcing acceptance of all signed contracts to plow up cotton, with destruction expected within a few days.

Fuchs 60 Milam County Commissioner Dies at Buckholts
H. A. Fuchs veteran Milam county official died at his Buckholts home on July 15 1933 from a heart attack after three months of declining health. Born 1878 in Burton Texas he served as Precinct No 1 commissioner from 1924 to 1933 and was in his fourth term. Funeral arrangements noted on page 4.
